“Kalamata is just the cutest little cottage around for this price - a cosy (and cute ) little 2 bedroom bach on a large fully fenced sunny section that optimizes the sun and view of the hills and harbour.
You’ll just love the Sun drenched deck and plenty of shade under mature trees.
In the cooler months, this great little holiday home will still be the perfect “timeout” cottage, , and you’ll stay warm and cosy
Crisp and clean, its perfect for a family of up to 6 with two sets of bunks for kids, and a comfortable double / queen for Mum and Dad.
It’s also a great hideaway for romantics wanting a little time out.
Only 1.5 hours self drive from Christchurch airport and an hours or so from Christchurch city it’s a great first or last stopover to relax and enjoy a taste of “ little France in NZ “. Being an old French colony, there remains a charming French influence in the township of Akaroa.
Akaroa itself offers many opportunities to connect with nature – either through taking one of the wonderful walks or hikes around the nearby hills, fishing swimming, or cruising on one of the tourist boats to watch dolphins at play.
The township also offers visitors local crafts, contemporary and / or traditional restaurants and cafes, waterside strolls on the board walks, great boutique shopping, a nearby cheese maker to visit and buy from, water activities, bird watching or just relaxing and taking in the ever changing harbour views.
Children are welcome at Kalamata. This house isn't serviced so please bring linen and leave the house as clean and tidy as found.
Linen hire is available - please just inquire.
Cleaning Service - compulsory
Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$70.00 per stay); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);
